Description

In the constellation Fornax lies the large and famous barred spiral galaxy NGC 1365, which moves almost through the zenith on Hakos.
The galaxy is located about 68 million light-years away in the Fornax galaxy cluster. The large bar appears to cause disturbances in the galaxy's gravitational field, compressing the gas in the galaxy and stimulating star formation.
